Back with exhaustion and S/X drabble!

Vacation was great.
Coming home was...not so great. It is nice (understatement!!) to have internet again, and I think I may finally have caught up on my flist, more or less - but the repairs the landlord was supposed to have made still haven't been done, and there's a ton of work and stuff I have to catch up on.
So of course, I decided instead to write a drabble for the Batpack Birthday Drabble Tree. S/X, PG.
Flicks
“I thought you’d pick something else, all right?”
Spike tried to look hurt. The smirk made this difficult.
“You said I got to pick the movie if you got to pick the beer.”
“My point exactly! This is guy movie night, with beer!”
“Movie, check. Beer, check. What’s the problem?”
“The problem?” Xander spluttered. “The problem is I expect explosions! Monsters! Car chases, or space battles, or Carrie-Ann Moss in PVC! Who hijacked your brain in the video store?!”
“Yeah, but you actually watch those movies.”
“That makes…no sense.”
Spike leered. “I like what happens when the movie bores you.”

“The problem?” Xander spluttered. “The problem is I expect explosions! Monsters! Car chases, or space battles, or Carrie-Ann Moss in PVC! Who hijacked your brain in the video store?!” heee!
And I adore why Spike got the movie that bores Xander - ah, that Spike, smarter than he seems. I also thought it was cool that the movie's title was never said. *g*

Date: 2006-09-01 09:17 am (UTC)Oh, it's good to be home, really. It's just...I hate how you end up paying for vacation by having an extra-nuts time when you get back, it uses up the relaxed feeling so quickly! Also, I'm still kinda jet-lagged and grumpy.
Spike is smart. Not always wise, or organized, but smart. ;)
*hugs*
