Funny thing: this was supposed to be a fic for you. I wrote the outline and maybe the first six lines way back when you requested restaurant Spander, but despite liking the idea I couldn't get it off the ground, and eventually wrote you a completely different restaurant scene. Then I signed up for spring_with_xan with every good intention, and, well. Got side-tracked, busy, blocked, moving... everything. (I've been the most delinquent in our round robin, too... *guilt*) Anyway, I dug this up and got inspired and wrote nearly all of it in a big chunk yesterday (woohoo deadlines), but couldn't manage to write a decent restaurant scene! Which the story totally ought to have. But in the end, I had to post the damn thing, so I got Xander to mentally summarize that bit for me. I'm a bit unhappy about it, but sadly I doubt I'll end up taking the time to fix it.

...And you probably didn't need to know all that. But I wanted to let you know that, yet again, still, even having left the fandom, you are my inspiration. *g* (P.S., thanks for reading, btw!!)
