epiphanies and milestones
This has been a year of big change. And little writing. Difficult living situation and sporadic Internet connectivity for a few months were off-putting, plus there was a general lack of inspiration and a sense that things were slowing down in the circles I (tried to) frequent.
I considered not doing an annual round-up because frankly, it's depressing (especially compared to some of the amazing offerings posted by some of you!), but a) today marks three years I've been on LJ and it feels necessary to both celebrate and recommit, and b) I like traditions (even short-lived ones.) So on this Feast of the Magi, I bring my sparse offerings from 2008. I do hope there will be more in the months to come.
Fics
On the Level - Spike/Xander, PG-13, 700+ words
By Any Other Name - Spike/Xander, PG-13, 2400 words
She Liked Cake - Illyria, Spike, Angel and Wesley, PG-13, 1200 words
Living Conditions - Spike/Xander round robin written with the most excellent co-authors
cordelianne,
reremouse, and
savoytruffle. Rated Mature.
Poetry
in the old stories - Willow, PG-13
I wrote a few others during
madame_meretrix's awesome
fan_ku free-for-all, which I've been meaning to gather up and post here. Note to self.
Slayer of Slayers - Spike, PG
Icon fan-ku! - The Princess Bride; Dean; Gwen; Spike; River. Once again,
madame_meretrix inspires.
Drabbles
Getting Shirty - Spike/Xander
This actually got nominated a couple of places, which was rather cool, as I hadn't written anything in ages and I'd never had a drabble nominated before. Thanks to whoever showed their appreciation in that fashion!
Hypocratical - Ben, PG
Thanks to everyone who keeps reading, commenting, cheer-leading, and being a voice out there in the void.

and also! fan-ku! yes. something else i've been meaning to do, round those links up. ack, times flies!
i'm glad to hear that you're all settled in now and i hope the worst of the transition is over. i hope to see you around more in 2009! and hopefully i will be around more, too. *g*

Heh, well, I still have to write you that frakkin' Spangel, so. ;)
The worst of the transition is definitely over. However, my husband decided to introduce me to Aquaria (http://www.bit-blot.com/aquaria/) shortly before Christmas and that has been occupying way too much of my attention... The only saving grace in my computer problems is that it means I've only been playing it on his computer (otherwise too frustrating when the display gives out and I die due to being unable to see anything or find a save point) which of course limits my time since he also wants to use his machine.
