consider rm in the LJ elections
May. 25th, 2008 09:14 amI don't usually get involved in the politics of LJ, but I'd like to encourage you to vote in the LJ advisory board election, and to consider voting for
rm.
Her platform is outlined in her LJ. A few salient points: she is a long-standing LJ user and supporter, a writer, and a member of fandom. She puts free speech issues foremost, and is not currently a part of the LJ structure or abuse team. She is supported by
ljunited and is a strong contender at
fandom_votes (which, incidentally, has a link to all the platforms of all candidates, and a summation of those with a link to fandom).
I think she is an excellent candidate for the job and encourage you to check her out. Even if she's not your first choice, please consider her for second or third. I think she says it best: Everything that makes me not cuddly in most circumstances makes me perfect for this job.
Finally, I'm not particularly widely known or influential. Some of you are. If you feel so inclined, please pass the message on - whether about
rm in particular, or just about the election. I'd like to see fandom's voice heard. :)
ETA: I'm away this week on an unexpected journey, so if you comment on this - or anything else - and I don't answer, it's not that I'm ignoring you or don't want a constructive debate, I'm just not sure how the Internet access will be.
