push me off the fence
Jun. 30th, 2010 10:00 pmMy bigbang posting day is under two weeks away! I still have some expansion stuff to write and yet more editing, but I'm not too panicked yet. It's been really exciting seeing the artwork
apieceofcake is creating!
Like many stories, mine shifts between different character POVs in different sections. There will be dividers between the sections (not just the usual 4 line blank spacing, thanks to my lovely artist!) I am undecided as to whether it is a good idea or not to identify the person in whose POV the section is written. Sometimes I like that, the cute little nametag dividers. Other times I think, meh, it's not like I couldn't figure it out, at least if the writing's any good.
So I was waffling on that and suddenly realized I haven't posted a poll in ages.

who are you? who who?
Oct. 25th, 2009 01:38 amI am terminally indecisive. Help.

ETA: And River Tam is the winner! Which coincides nicely with walking into the thrift store yesterday and finding that the first red sweater on the rack was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. :)

new year, new poll!
Jan. 1st, 2008 12:51 pmHappy New Year!
I'd like to write more this year. And write better. I'd like to get back to reading and commenting the way I used to. I'd like to be more present on LJ than I have been the last six months or so. This may well not happen, though, given all the other things I'd like to do (and need to do). But I'll be here, in some form.
Speaking of which... my paid account runs out soon. I'm not sure what to do about it. There's been all that fuss (more than once), some people have chosen to jump ship, but by and large it seems things have settled down and nearly all my favourite folks are still here. And IJ is ugly.
Also, it's been suggested to me I should get a Facebook account. This would not be fandom-related; rather, for keeping up with family and friends. However, the main people I really need to send news and photos to, namely parents, do not use the Internets. Plus, a good friend and professional colleague has advised me to stay the hell away because of how much time it sucks up. (And she doesn't know I already have an LJ.)
( So I thought I'd use the standard decision-making-delaying tactic of 'Get more input.' )
Now, off to make soup. :)
