[livejournal.com profile] spnspringfling reveals are up! Reposting the story I wrote for the prompt "hope springs eternal," which turned out to be for [livejournal.com profile] inalasahl. Sam/Dean, rated R, 1376 words, usual disclaimers apply.

Notes: Set during Mystery Spot, so a warning for multiple character deaths, but ALSO warning for suicide (though that also doesn't last.) Angst, but not without a touch of hope. (I think I am constitutionally incapable of writing an actual unhappy ending.)

Summary: Tuesday after Tuesday, Dean keeps dying, and Sam keeps doing something stupid. The odds are against him, but Sam can't stop himself from hoping.

Written in a flurry for the schmoopfest that is [livejournal.com profile] silverbullets, for [livejournal.com profile] de_nugis's tag "better with you." Because nothing says schmoop like ~1000 words of stargazing. Spoilers through 6.12.

It's [livejournal.com profile] apreludetoanend's birthday. I miss her. ♥

Over a year ago, I wrote her in their element, a short fic about Sam & Dean 'as undercover doctors who have to make out in their scrubs so people don't find out they're not real doctors.' I needed some loose semblance of plot structure, and ended up with an air elemental. I then decided to continue into a series, one story for each element, but never actually got around to it. Until now.

This is a sequel, for the element Water. Warning: it is not funny/fluffy like the first. You don't need to have read the first (though I'd love it if you did!); all you need to know is that, as advertised, the boys ended up making out briefly. Set in season three, ~3200 words, rated PG-13. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] madame_meretrix for beta-reading.

Those are the good days for Dean too. )

I don't usually produce h/c. I don't usually produce gen. I am usually utterly last-minute, so on that point at least I'm following tradition. *facepalm*

I thought this prompt that [livejournal.com profile] de_nugis asked for in the [livejournal.com profile] ohsam hurt/comfort challenge was delightful, and I attempted to do it justice. I hadn't expect it to expand into ~8500 words! Even at that, there's probably less hurt and/or comfort than might be expected for an h/c challenge, but I hope it's acceptable. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dancetomato for last-minute beta-reading, although I ended up writing at least a third more of it after she saw it, and of course any mistakes are entirely mine (and if you see any, please do tell me! :)

They are in full throttle research mode when Sam manages to drop a dictionary on his foot. A seriously heavy dictionary -- say the Oxford Latin Dictionary, since it's not online. A lot of swearing from Sam, a lot of mocking from Dean, till Dean realizes that the foot actually is broken. Pretty nastily broken, as it turns out. Followed by a trip to the ER and a few weeks of Sam on crutches, with Dean alternately being helpful and telling every witness they interview a new, embarrassing, and completely fictitious story about how Sam broke his foot. Finally Dean's moronic how-could-anyone-hurt-themselves-with-a-book brother has to do some seriously kickass stuff on nasty terrain, broken foot and all, getting them out of a tight spot, and there is sarcastic, concerned, bantery bonding.…

Written for [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang, to the inspiring video below by [livejournal.com profile] zenamydog. I owe her many thanks for giving me free rein to write, and making helpful suggestions along the way. I really owe [livejournal.com profile] madame_meretrix and [livejournal.com profile] dancetomato, who did a heroic and high quality last-minute job of beta-reading. Thanks are due also to [livejournal.com profile] affabletoaster, for cheerleading and help with Assyrian. ~12,500 words of season 6 casefic - goes AU after 5.22 so no spoilers for s6.

The last time Dean saw his brother - both his brothers, but let's face it, Dean only gives a damn about one of them - Sam beat the shit out of him, so Dean kind of figures it's his turn. )

For Erin ♥, who wanted Sam/Jess and instead gets mostly Sam with a hint of Jess. I tried, but to be honest, I find Jess intimidating. Also, I couldn't squish it into a drabble, though many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] affabletoaster for making it less wordy (believe it or not). 743 words, rated PG-13.

I really am trying to do my ten-minues-a-day writing for [livejournal.com profile] wrisomifu. Unfortunately, I keep starting various stories and not finishing them. Last night, though, I wrote something like 675 words in a rush in response to [livejournal.com profile] essene's request for comment porn, so I thought I'd tidy it up and post it here. Summary: Dean walks in on Sam.

WARNING: PWP. Really. If that's not your thing, please do not read. :)

Sam's not where Dean left him. )

This is only a week or so late, which given my recent track record is an outstanding accomplishment.

So, after SPN 5.05, Erin said: Sam in scrubs? SO GORGEOUS. How about boys as undercover doctors who have to make out in their scrubs so people don't find out they're not real doctors? IT COULD HAPPEN. And I thought, yes. Yes, it could. And I set out to write her a quick 300 word snippet of that, and then there was scene-setting and kidneys and I don’t even know. Here, Erin, have ~2400 words of hospital blither. ♥ Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] affabletoaster for a super-quick beta.

Dean wishes Sam would quit arguing already. )

One week. It is hard to believe that at the beginning of the summer, I had not seen a single episode of Supernatural, and now I am completely obsessed with it and bouncing around waiting for season 5 to kick off. I don't think I have ever behaved this way about a TV show. (Um. Except possibly for when we bought our first TV - which incidentally is still our only TV - to watch the premiere of ST:DS9. I mean. We were going to buy one eventually anyway. And I didn't bounce nearly so much.)

Anyway, I've only just finished season 4, and this ficlet demanded to be written. 800+ words, rated PG for concepts and language; set immediately post 4.22 and contains spoilers for same. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] affabletoaster for beta-reading (ETA: and for the title!)

A person could drown in this light, with their eyes wide open, and never struggle. )
