good things that happened today

( There's cherry blossom 'snow' everywhere. )
( I won an award. For, er, het. Yeah, really. )
Also, I'm not in the Dr Who fandom and this is probably old news, but I was intrigued to read that Christopher Eccleston (Nine) is cast as the Rider in "The Dark is Rising" movie. While I'm not actually that enthused about the movie, given that they've thrown out two of the core features of the book (and I can't believe they turned down a script by Tom Stoppard!) I do think he's a great choice.
