On Saturday, I bought shoes. I am not particularly into shoes, but even I acknowledge that I cannot wear Docs with everything (especially including suits/skirts at work), and I needed a pair of "nice" brown shoes since I now own several brown-based outfits. They are flats, round-toed and rather cute. They fitted me just fine in the store on Saturday. And they were on sale.
Clearly, they were then possessed by shoe demons upon leaving the store, because after wearing them for about ten minutes this morning, they became instruments of sheer torture. I spent the rest of the day hobbling about like the Little Mermaid. "Pride must suffer pain," indeed.
Give me Birkenstocks any day. My old ones fell apart after years of dedicated service and have yet to be replaced. I like the Rio style. In red. :)
Man, it's hot...
And what is this ridiculous navigation bar doing at the top of my LJ? I told it to go away! I know where I am. I don't need to be told, "You are reading your journal." Shades of Douglas Adams...

Anna *hugs you*
