I'm rather overwhelmed! :)



Five Christmases Spike'll Never Forget is nominated for the Temptation Award (best short, finished piece.) Resurgens is listed for the Hidden Rubies Award (most moving fragment from a fic, like one chapter you read over and over again, or a moving ficlet).

Aftermath has been nominated in both the Delectation Award (best gen, or no pairing) category, and the Dark Kitty Award (best fic featuring Xander as a major character, any pairing or gen but not Spander.) I'm quite touched that someone saw fit to suggest it.

And I was nominated for the Delight Award, for best reader. That's so lovely! though if there's any justice the also-nominated cordelianne should win. Her comments always blow me away, and not infrequently improve my reading/enjoyment of a fic by pointing out subtleties I hadn't noticed (due to my "ooh look, Spike and Xander are kissing!" frame of mind. *g*)

apreludetoanend was kind enough to point out to me a couple of nominations that I hadn't been notified about (wonder how she knew? hmm? ;)



At the White Knight Awards, Dies Irae has been nominated in the "Bad-Ass Vamp" category, O magnum mysterium is in the "Short Fic" category, Animal made the "Viking in the Sack" category, Near Wild Heaven is nominated in the "Slash Pairing" category, and I'm in the "New Author" category. Whew!



And at the Fang Fetish Awards, Five Christmases Spike'll Never Forget is entered in the Fang Fetish Challenge category, and Resurgens is nominated for "Best Short".

Thank you, so very much, to whoever thought these were worth nominating and took the time and effort to do so. It's inspired me to go out and nominate a few of my favourite authors and fics. Spread the love! *g*

Ah. I hadn't either, for a couple of these. However, I've just checked the White Knight awards, and part of the problem may be that your name is listed as "entrenous" without the "88" - although the links to your stories are accurate ("Bonus" and "Authority" have been nommed.)

Over at the Fang Fetish Awards, "Shacking Up" is nommed for Best Spander and Best Supporting OC and Best Sleeper, and has the same name listing problem (link goes to your geocities page.) Cuddly Predators is also nommed in the same category but the name is correct. It's also nommed in Best Fluff (name correct), as is "Something Blue, Something Slashy" (your name wrong). The latter is also nommed in Best Short, and the former in Best Long.

You also have a number of nominations over at the SunnyD Awards (http://sunnydawards.dragonydreams.com/nominees.html), and once again your name is given as EntreNous though the link is correct, which may be confusing them. I am being called to supper! so perhaps you can stop by and check them yourself. *g*

Oh, you're a sweetheart for noting the instances you saw! I knew about the FFA, and I'll check SunnyD (I thought I was nom'd last round but not this), but I definitely haven't heard a thing about White Knight, and was actually feeling slightly blue about that. I'll go see what's up there later.

Thank you! It's... affirming, like comments. I've never been particularly aware of the award sites, or whether a particular author/favourite fic of mine has won awards - I make my own judgments - but as you've pointed out recently, the nomination alone is another way of fb to the author. I will try and be more active in future!
