Faith (HP drabble, Hermione/Draco, G)

Another snippet in a new fandom, for apreludetoanend's first line meme. :)

In case you missed the premise, the first line of this is hers. Only it used to say "Harris."

Faith

“Have a little faith, Harry.”

“Faith? In Malfoy? That’ll be the day.”

Hermione’s lips tighten. He looks away. He doesn’t want to think about Hermione’s lips, and where they have been. He still finds it hard to believe she isn’t under a spell.

She is, of course, though not a magical one. One woven in moonlight hair, steel eyes, and edges so sharp you bleed despite yourself.

“He can do it, Harry.”

“I know he can. The question is, will he? It’s his mother we’re talking about.”

The brush of her fingers is softer than a feather.

“I trust him.”

I so love you in drabble mode. This one is very cool! I love that you did HP!

You deserve much of the credit, for providing so many varied and inspiring lines! I'm so glad you did do this meme, and mentioned "fandom drift" - it's been really fun playing in various other sandboxes. I can't see myself staying in any of them, but I've enjoyed it.

I'm glad you liked Draco's description. I worried it was a little precious, overdramatic - but he's got that dramatic element going on. I thought it suited him. :)
