Never mind that I'm not yet unpacked, that the house is descending into chaos, and that I have a ton of work to catch up on (not to mention being way behind on LJ) - I made time to watch Torchwood tonight!
Ah, JM, the amoral killer. "Thirsty now." Awesome. Deliberate echo?
"What can you be doing that's more important than [doing] me?" Mmm, that's the stuff. Snark and duplicity and leering in-your-face sexuality right from the start. OH JM I HAVE MISSED YOU.
I'm developing an inordinate fondness for Owen. He's so... geeky. And overly intense, and just a little bit scrawny. And needy. And medical. Weird. This episode was all about the hotness that is Barrowman/Marsters (and make no mistake, it was hot), but I find myself staring at Owen and his gun.
Okay, so I'm a little unclear on why they start kicking the crap out of each other. Good fight, though. Good kiss, good fight. I can't stand fighting in RL - why do I find this so appealing?
"I'll bet the ranks were very grateful." HA!
Hee, he still drinks like Spike. AND OH GOD, THE THROAT WORKING... :) Somebody needs to make an animated icon of that. Actually, somebody probably already has.
Poor Ianto! "We were partners." "In what way?" "In every way. *leer* And then some."
OMG AND THEN THEY ACTUALLY ARGUE ABOUT WHO WAS THE WIFE. I die now. :D
And could there be any more charged looks?
"Could you be any more pretentious?" Hee! Plus, I completely agree about the interior design.
Haha! It is now canon that kissing JM renders one paralytic. Yes! *g*
I've really never been a fan of Ianto. But he does redeem himself rather in this episode.
...Ah, there's the poodle comment. And I love Gwen hauling JM around.
"What's the point of being on a team if there isn't a last minute rescue?" Which, of course, there is. But, uh, DNA doesn't work like that. Which I realize is a ridiculous comment to make at this juncture in this kind of show. But still. Do not try and explain it. It interferes with the suspension of disbelief.
Huh. I thought Captain John was going to be a one-shot deal, but there he is in the preview for the next ep. Which is TOMORROW NIGHT. :D
In other news, the skiing was tremendous fun.
