Sick. Exhausted. And some idiot crashed into our car while it was stationary. Hence the lack of replying all week. *g*

How are you? I miss everyone here!! I'm quite excited about cordelianne and reremouse taking over spring_with_xan, though. I have a pile of non-fic stuff I'm supposed to be writing, but I really need to get back to fandom some time soon. *sigh*

No, nobody was hurt. It's just a lot of annoyance (and, it's beginning to appear, some inaccurate license plate/insurance details on the other side. As in, the plate that was on the vehicle is probably a fake. Grr.)

oh my gosh! fake plates? wow. gwen, i'm so sorry. that's just. unbelievable. what a nightmare to have to deal with!

but i'm really glad no one was hurt. that's one positive side. but still, wow. *shakes head* insurance companies are scam artists, even when all the documentation is in order. i can't imagine the level of run-around you're going through with all of the extra issues. *hugs*

Actually, my insurance company is pretty good. They were awesome a couple of years ago when my car was SET ON FIRE (http://electricalgwen.livejournal.com/5839.html).*

Still, yes, it's frustrating. I have not had good luck with cars here. And none of it's my fault! *sulk*

your car-luck totally beats mine. i've only had two stolen. :/ none have been SET ON FIRE.

Far as we know it was random. Two more were done the same night in the same area. It was weird - it's a quiet little street and generally a pretty okay area. But I went in to work and was like, 'Omg, my car was SET ON FIRE' and the really startling thing was how everyone was so blase about it. They were only surprised that it hadn't been stolen first.

But srsly. This does not happen in Canada. Even the 'bad' bits. People do not randomly set cars ON FIRE.

Oh no! I have not had a car stolen. That sounds pretty awful too.

I was so afraid of it exploding. I'd just filled the tank on the way home! But the firemen said that was probably what saved it from exploding - it's the vapours that ignite, while mine was full of liquid gasoline. However, it sprang a crack in the side of the tank and every so often a jet of flaming gas would shoot out across the road. It took over 45 minutes for them to put it out! You can still see the marks where it melted the road, and some bits of charred metal embedded in it - Elder Son pokes at them every so often.
