...and not just me procrastinating on bigbang.

You're my friends. How would you hide a dead body?

ETA: You guys are too good at this! *eyes you* I should have specified it has to be findable. Hidden by someone who knows what they're doing, but findable by someone who is extremely good at such things.

Well, I'd probably just sweep it under the rug. Um. Have I mentioned that I have no imagination? Sorry, sweetie!

Hee! I am flirting with variations on this theme, only possibly the rug is a large pile of mud or a garbage tip. Or something. :)

heeee. of course, i've actually thought about this, and i think--if i could stomach it--i'd dismember and dissolve with acid, then dump what's left in a large river with access to an ocean. whether or not i actually could do all that is another matter.

does your character have a strong stomach?

also: just what kind of friends do you think we are? ;)

You *know* you'd help me. ;)

That is probably what they should have done! Except they can't, because the body needs to be findable! I think everyone involved has a strong stomach, though.

(Robert Heinlein gave some very good body disposal advice in Friday, btw. I think it was a lime pit, not acid, though.)

lol and now i'm remembering the scene from goodfellas, where they have to go dig up a body after like, five years, and robert deniro's all: you're gonna have to do it, I got no fucking lime.

and uh, it's funnier when he says it lol. hm! findable, but not too findable? what about buried in between two brick walls?

also, just what sort of sick things are you writing, my dear?

Ha, I haven't seen Goodfellas. I am imagining you saying it and it still sounds pretty damn funny. ;)

Yeah, between walls is good. With cat litter, as per Kelleigh.

It's actually a relatively minor plot point! But I want authenticity. *g*

I'm so excited about this story. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to pull off bigbang. There is still doubt, ack, I was stalling out a few days ago, but I have a plot and 16K words and I can't face having put all this effort in and crashing just short of the finish line, so... I soldier on!

I don't know! This is new territory for me! I've never written anything this long or complex before! IT'S ALL RATHER SCARY.

OH MY GOODNESS, REALLY? you're doing your first big bang, and its SPN? wow! i guess you really have crossed that threshold. lol i keep thinking of you as a reluctant dabbler. *G*

but i know you can do it. actually, i can't WAIT for you to do it. *glee* new gwen!fic ftw

Heh, yeah! The longest thing I ever wrote in BtVS was Dies Irae, and I think that came in at just over 10K. I find that in general, there are a lot more long fics in SPN. Or maybe I just never found or wasn't interested in the long ones in BtVS.

I really debated signing up for bigbang, I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it (and there is still doubt, ha!), but everyone was getting so excited about it and I thought I'd give it a try. The cheerleading is helpful! :)

Oh man, I am hardly a reluctant dabbler. *g* I guess you weren't around last summer when I was posting about my conversion. I haven't been hugely productive fic-wise (but what's new) but I've hit J2AU, J2 "non-AU", haiku (hmm, in a comm, meant to post it here, will get on that), and even a Dean/Sam ficlet...

Caprica! I'm behind on it at the moment, but whoa. I love the ideas (it was particularly fun that it took right off from all kinds of stuff I was playing with in Dollhouse meta) and they've managed to get me hooked despite the fact I know how it all ends (always a problem with prequels, for me.) I think it's neat how the characters are all flawed, in some way - they're all complex.

Well, I'd need more time to come up with a detailed plan (what? those pages of notes titled DISPOSAL are unrelated!), but it would involve cat litter as a means of absorbing the smell, preventing decomp (fucking with the time of death!) and soaking up nasty bodily fluids. Acid is a great idea to dissolve identifying features and get rid of evidence. Not that I've thought about this, it was totally for the CSI stories!

While watching Law and Order SVU this morning the cultists hid a body inside the wall they were building and then put in kitty litter to hide the odor of decomposing body. They used some kind of scanner to find the body.

Living in Texas, I'd take it out to Big Bend and let the critters and the elements have a go. The area is vast and harsh and animals would play havoc on the forensics. There aren't many people mucking about either and no one would question why I'm off roading a big vehicle to a remote location to get a bit of rest and relaxation! Or dump a body. Whatever.

Wow. Given that the dead body in question is also in Texas, this is a definite contender! Thanks!
