apples to apples, dust to dust

Today's been good. Christmas cookie baking with the boys, making pizza, basketball, good music, and I even got a bit of writing in.
We just played 'Apples to Apples' before Elder Son heads off to bed. I was not familiar with this game before the Attic Denizen moved in; it's loads of fun. Tonight, apparently I am awesome, profound, snappy, distinguished, unusual, charismatic, cute...and dead. :P
(Also, the winner. ;)

Date: 2010-12-22 11:58 am (UTC)Apples to Apples is a words game: someone sets down a green adjective card, and you throw in (facedown) one of the seven red noun cards you have in your hand that best matches it. The person who put down the adjective then reads out the noun cards and chooses a winning noun; the person who contributed the noun wins the green card and gets to judge the next round. You play till someone has a set number of green cards. It is a lot more hilarious than I just made it sound.
