I have spent the day so far having food poisoning. I'll spare you the details, but it's been pretty awful and I feel terrible. (Put it this way - it was bad enough that I've spent an entire day at home and only just considered checking my email and LJ! ;)
Anybody want to rec me something happy, amusing or fluffy? Spander fic, pictures of kittens in Christmas stockings, stories about stupid criminals... whatever you got.

Date: 2006-12-20 04:34 pm (UTC)I'm sure I probably can't rec anything you haven't already read, but I thought these were very cute...

Date: 2006-12-20 05:13 pm (UTC)Wow, no, I haven't read George! Thanks, looks like fun. I had seen The Birds... but totally forgotten about it, definitely a cheering-up read. And I expect to have much fun in future exploring that last one... *adds to bookmarks*

Date: 2006-12-20 05:21 pm (UTC)hm.. I'm pretty sure you're already reading it, but
Also, I don't know if this is your cup of tea, but it's pretty much the only S/X that's non-Gwen in my memories:
I hope you feel better soon!

Date: 2006-12-21 12:46 pm (UTC)Thanks for those! I do love Cuddly Predators. The Festival!verse is a little outside what I normally go for but I did enjoy that! :)

Date: 2006-12-20 05:55 pm (UTC)You've probably already read these but they always entertain me, Spurglie's:
Joined at the Hip (http://www.geocities.com/spurglie/joined.html)
Xander has Kittens (http://www.geocities.com/spurglie/kittens.html)
(both S/X)
Also, according to some right-wing guy in the U.S. soy makes people gay:
His first post (http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53327)
His 'clarification' post (http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53425)
I first heard about it on NPR, their reaction is pretty funny:
Click on 'Opening panel round' to listen (http://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=35&prgDate=12-16-2006&view=storyview), I believe there's a subheader that says "Tofu makes you gay."

Date: 2006-12-21 01:02 pm (UTC)Even scarier than the soy stories were the ads along the side of the page... O_o
And thanks for the recs! Yes, I'd read them before, but not for a while; nice refresher. :)

Date: 2006-12-20 06:00 pm (UTC)-I haven't any fun fics as I only just posted the angsty Spander but there's at least one fun icon (or one icon I think is fun) at
-
- If that doesn't work, Touched (http://bloodybadpoetfics.com/viewstory.php?sid=84&ageconsent=ok) always brings a smile to my face.

Date: 2006-12-21 01:06 pm (UTC)Thanks for that. Yeah, it was pretty gross. Feeling less nauseated today, but still completely wiped out. Getting some rest, though, and hopefully will be 100% by tomorrow. :)

Date: 2006-12-20 08:17 pm (UTC)Hmmm, if you want an uber-fluffy and kind of hyper-toned Christmas fic I wrote, check out Spike's Holiday Hunt (http://www.geocities.com/entrenous88/SpikesHolidayHuntMainpage.html) (it's from my first year in fandom, so forgive anything about it that's extremely wacky -- it's meant to be silly, but, you know *g*).

Date: 2006-12-21 01:10 pm (UTC)Feeling better today - nausea pretty much gone, though complete lack of energy persists. Much dozing - I feel very kitten-like. :)
